Mar 9th 2026

After a three-year pause GM reintroduces the Bolt as a compact 65 kWh LFP EV with updated hardware, faster charging, optional Super Cruise, and a sub-$29,000 starting price, while production is limited to an initial 18 months.

  • Base price is $28,995 and EPA range is 262 miles.
  • Powertrain is a 65 kWh LFP battery with a 210 hp, 169 lb-ft front-wheel drive setup.
  • Peak DC charging is 150 kW and 10 to 80 percent takes about 25 minutes on a Supercharger or CCS charger.
  • The Bolt uses the NACS charging port with Plug and Charge support and supports vehicle-to-home and over-the-air updates.
  • Optional Super Cruise hands-free driving is available in a roughly $6,000 package, bringing a Bolt to about $35,655.
  • GM says production is currently committed for 18 months, making supply limited.
  • The updated interior adds an 11-inch infotainment screen and wireless charger but drops Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and there is no frunk.
