8 LeT operatives arrested for Delhi terror plot with links to ISI and Bangladesh

Delhi Police say coordinated raids in West Bengal and Tamil Nadu uncovered an eight-member Lashkar-e-Toiba module allegedly directed from Bangladesh by a fugitive LeT handler with claimed ISI backing.
- The probe began after pro-Pakistan and pro-terror posters featuring Burhan Wani were found at multiple Delhi locations on February 8.
- Seven of the eight arrested are Bangladeshi nationals who allegedly entered India illegally using forged identity documents.
- Police say the module was handled from Bangladesh by Shabir Ahmad Lone, a former LeT operative arrested in 2007 who fled to Bangladesh after his 2018 release from Tihar Jail.
- Authorities allege Lone received funding and support from Pakistan's Inter-Services Intelligence to recruit Bangladeshi nationals and revive LeT sleeper cells in India.
- Investigators seized posters, 10 mobile phones, Bangladeshi passports, 25 bank cards and five POS machines and are probing financial transactions and possible hawala links.
