Cambodia says scam activity halved as crackdown intensifies

Phnom Penh reports mass departures, arrests and a new law aimed at shutting down scam compounds, but rights groups and analysts say evidence of dismantling elite networks is lacking.

Authorities say activity in scam compounds has fallen by 50 percent since the start of the year.
