Altus Property Group CEO David Young says he has signed a deal with the Trump Organisation to build a 340 metre, 91-storey tower in Surfers Paradise, while the Gold Coast City Council says no development application has yet been received.

The proposed tower would be 340 metres tall and 91 storeys high, which the developer says would become Australia’s tallest building before the end of the decade.
The developer says one third of the building would operate as a six-star hotel and another third would contain 270 apartments.
David Young said the design would follow the Trump design manual used on projects in Jeddah and Saudi Arabia.
Gold Coast City Council and acting mayor Mark Hammell say a formal development application is required and none has been received so far.
