Altus Property Group CEO David Young says he has signed a deal with the Trump Organisation to build a 340 metre, 91-storey tower in Surfers Paradise, while the Gold Coast City Council says no development application has yet been received.
- Altus Property Group chief executive David Young says a deal with the Trump Organisation has been signed for the project.
- The proposed tower would be 340 metres tall and 91 storeys high, which the developer says would become Australia’s tallest building before the end of the decade.
- The developer says one third of the building would operate as a six-star hotel and another third would contain 270 apartments.
- David Young said the design would follow the Trump design manual used on projects in Jeddah and Saudi Arabia.
- Gold Coast City Council and acting mayor Mark Hammell say a formal development application is required and none has been received so far.
