Mar 18th 2026

The former Reigate MP, who served from 1997 to 2024, was charged after police searched his Horley home, the Crown Prosecution Service says.

  • Crispin Blunt, 65, has been charged with four drugs offences: one count of possessing a class A drug and three counts of possessing class B drugs.
  • The class A drug is alleged to be methamphetamine.
  • The class B drugs are alleged to be GBL, cannabis and amphetamine.
  • The charges follow police attendance at his Horley, Surrey, home on 25 October 2023 during a separate investigation.
  • He will appear at Westminster magistrates court on 25 March and the Crown Prosecution Service warned against reporting that could prejudice the proceedings.
