Hong Kong pledges to boost green finance and innovation role

Financial Secretary Paul Chan told the China Development Forum that Hong Kong will leverage its status as an international financial centre and a developing tech hub to support regional and global green transition.
- Paul Chan spoke at the China Development Forum in Beijing during a six-day trip and met Finance Minister Lan Foan.
- He said Hong Kong will use green finance and green technology to support low carbon development.
- Chan called Hong Kong a super value adder that can provide capital, green standards, technology and solutions.
- He cited Hong Kong's advantages under one country two systems, including links between China and Western markets and a growing innovation and technology ecosystem.
