Iberdrola awards 3.5bn euro contracts for 640 km UK subsea power link

Eastern Green Link 4 will install about 640 km of mainly subsea HVDC cable and two 525 kV converter stations to carry 2,000 MW between Scotland and England, with contracts awarded to Siemens Energy and Prysmian for about 3.5 billion euros.
