Actor Javier Bardem used the Oscars stage to say "No to war and Free Palestine," wearing a Palestine pin and reiterating his support for industry boycotts and Palestinian filmmakers.

Bardem declared "No to war and Free Palestine" while introducing the International Film presentation at the Oscars.
He wore a Palestine pin and held a placard reading "No a la Guerra."
He has repeatedly criticized Israel's actions and film festivals for their silence, including statements at San Sebastian and Cannes.
In February he joined more than 81 Berlinale participants in an open letter urging the festival to condemn Israel and stop censoring artists who oppose its actions in Gaza.
He defended Film Workers For Palestine's boycott pledge as targeting companies complicit in alleged atrocities rather than individuals, and he executive produced Jordan's Oscar entry All That’s Left Of You alongside Mark Ruffalo.
