A 49-year-old man has been charged with murder after court bailiff Jeff Blair, 55, died following an attack while on duty in Shildon, County Durham on 10 March; police and the courts service are investigating and appealing for witnesses.

Robert Davies, 49, has been charged with murder, possession of an offensive weapon and affray over an attack in Shildon on 10 March.
Victim Jeff Blair, 55, a former Durham police officer who worked as a court bailiff, died in hospital after sustaining serious injuries while on duty.
Davies has been remanded in custody and is due to appear at Peterlee magistrates court on Friday.
HM Courts and Tribunals Service condemned the attack, offered support to staff, and said it will review whether further protections for bailiffs are needed.
Durham constabulary are investigating, maintaining a presence at the scene, and asking witnesses to quote incident 209 of 10 March when contacting police or Crimestoppers.
Blair's family said they are devastated and that he will be forever missed and remembered with much love and affection.
