States sue to block Trump tariffs imposed under Section 122

A coalition of Democratic attorneys general and governors say the president overstepped his authority by shifting to Section 122 after the Supreme Court invalidated his earlier emergency-powers tariffs, and they are asking the court to block the new duties.
- About two dozen states and two governors filed suit in the Court of International Trade challenging 15% global tariffs President Trump imposed under Section 122 of the Trade Act of 1974.
