Pakistan holds PSL behind closed doors amid oil crisis

The Pakistan Super League will go ahead on March 26 but with empty stadiums and games limited to Lahore and Karachi after a fuel shortage tied to rising oil prices led officials to restrict crowds and cancel the opening ceremony.

- No spectators will be allowed and the Lahore opening ceremony is cancelled.
- PCB cited rising fuel prices and a nationwide fuel shortage linked to the Middle East conflict.
- PCB will refund all sold tickets within 72 hours and compensate franchises for lost gate receipts.
- Matches were removed from Rawalpindi, Faisalabad, Multan and Peshawar and the PCB apologised to those cities.
- Several foreign players withdrew, including Jake Fraser-McGurk, Spencer Johnson, Ottneil Baartman and Gudakesh Motie.
