Poll: 75% of first-time Israeli voters identify as right wing

A Midgam poll for N12 finds younger Israelis are more right wing, more religious in practice, and more skeptical of institutions after October 7, even as their party loyalties remain unsettled.
- 75% of first-time voters identify as right wing versus 68% among veteran voters.
- 59% of new voters align with the Right bloc compared with 41% for the opposition.
- Younger voters report higher religious practice and belief, with 43% saying they kiss mezuzot and 80% saying they believe in God or a higher power.
- About 60% of voters across age groups say they would not vote for a party that supports the current haredi draft exemption law.
- 46% of new voters say there was betrayal from within on October 7 compared with 37% of veteran voters.
- 49% of new voters accept Prime Minister Netanyahu’s claim that the cases against him are politically fabricated versus about 35% of veteran voters.
