Report: Bots Amplified Nicki Minaj's Pro-MAGA Posts on X

Feb 24th 2026

A Cyabra analysis says a large share of accounts boosting Nicki Minaj’s political posts between November and December were likely fake, a finding that prompted denials and debate over coordination and motive.

  • Cyabra analyzed 51 political-related X posts from Nov. 11 to Dec. 22 and examined engagement from more than 55,000 accounts.
  • The firm found at least 33 percent of those accounts, roughly 19,000 profiles, were likely fake, well above the typical 7 to 10 percent benchmark.
  • Cyabra cited linguistic uniformity, short repetitive comments, and synchronized posting patterns as signs of inauthentic coordinated amplification.
  • Some accounts boosting Minaj overlapped with those promoting Turning Point USA, and several conservative influencers also amplified her posts.
  • Cyabra concluded the activity appeared aimed at manufacturing visible public support for Minaj rather than promoting a specific political ideology.
  • Minaj’s allies deny the findings and point to potential conflicts of interest tied to Cyabra’s industry connections.
