Mar 14th 2026

Rebecca Harvey was reunited with her spaniel Flora after the dog, stolen from garden kennels in Little Maplestead in October 2017, was traced to a buyer in Kent following a tip to a charity search team.

  • Flora and her sister Clover were taken from kennels in Little Maplestead, Essex on 30 October 2017.
  • Rebecca Harvey, 30, now living near Sudbury in Suffolk, was contacted after a charity search team learned a man who bought Flora suspected she had been stolen.
  • Rebecca and her husband drove to Kent to collect Flora, who greeted them wagging her tail and was found to be overweight.
  • Flora originally belonged to Rebecca's late father, who died about four and a half years ago and did not see the reunion.
  • Rebecca plans a full veterinary check up for Flora and said she still hopes to find Clover.
