Tina Fey, Jamie Dornan and Riz Ahmed to host first episodes of Saturday Night Live UK

The British spin off of Saturday Night Live will debut live on Sky on 21 March with guest hosts Tina Fey, Jamie Dornan and Riz Ahmed, a fast turnaround writing schedule and music from Wet Leg, Wolf Alice and Kasabian.

  • Tina Fey, Jamie Dornan and Riz Ahmed are the first three guest hosts of Saturday Night Live UK.
  • The series premieres live on Sky One on 21 March at 10pm and will also be available on streaming service Now.
  • The show will be written and rehearsed during the week of broadcast and performed live to a London studio audience.
  • Each episode will feature an opening monologue, topical sketches, live music and a British version of Weekend Update.
  • Lorne Michaels is executive producer and the production includes about 20 writers and a regular cast of 11 comedians aged 26 to 36.
  • The launch music acts are Wet Leg, Wolf Alice and Kasabian, and the regular cast includes Hammed Animashaun, Ayoade Bamgboye, Larry Dean, Celeste Dring, George Fouracres, Ania Magliano, Annabel Marlow, Al Nash, Jack Shep, Emma Sidi and Paddy Young.
