Trump approval falls to 36% as fuel prices rise amid Iran war

A Reuters/Ipsos four-day poll found Trump’s approval fell to 36% from 40% amid rising petrol prices and growing public disapproval of US strikes on Iran.
- Approval dropped to 36% from 40% in the previous Reuters/Ipsos poll.
- Only 25% approve of his handling of the cost of living as petrol prices surged after US and Israel strikes on Iran.
- 61% disapprove of the US strikes on Iran, up from 59% last week.
- Only about one in five Republicans disapprove of his overall performance, little changed from last week, but Republican disapproval of his cost of living handling rose to 34% from 27%.
- His approval was 47% at the start of his presidency and had largely held near 40% since last summer before this decline.
