U.S. President Donald Trump has declared that negotiations with Iran over ending the conflict that began on February 28 are at a critical juncture, warning that the situation "will move very quickly" unless Tehran provides "the right answers." Speaking from Andrews Air Force Base, Trump stated that Washington is prepared to act and requires responses that are "100% satisfactory," while acknowledging that his administration is dealing with "more reasonable" individuals within Iran's current leadership compared to the previous regime, which included Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Jamenei, who was killed in the initial strikes launched by Israel and the United States. Iran's Foreign Ministry spokesperson Ismail Bagaei confirmed on Thursday that Tehran is actively reviewing Washington's latest proposal to end hostilities. According to Bagaei, both nations have conducted multiple rounds of message exchanges based on a 14-point text initially presented by Iran several weeks ago. The proposal was delivered to Tehran by Pakistan's Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi, who made his second visit to the Islamic Republic in less than a week. Iran's demands include a complete cessation of war on all fronts, the lifting of sanctions, the release of frozen Iranian assets, compensation for war damages, recognition of its sovereignty over the Strait of Hormuz, and deferring negotiations on its nuclear program for later discussions. Meanwhile, Iranian President Masud Pezeshkian stated that "all options remain on the table" following talks with Naqvi in Tehran.
