Bellingcat says newly released and geolocated video shows a US Tomahawk missile striking an IRGC site in Minab on Feb 28 and smoke near a girls school where 175 people were reportedly killed.
- Bellingcat geolocated footage released by Mehr News that appears to show a US Tomahawk missile hitting an IRGC facility in Minab on Feb 28.
- The video also shows smoke rising near a girls school where 175 people were reportedly killed, including children.
- The footage appears to contradict US President Donald Trump’s claim that an Iranian missile hit the school.
- The United States is the only participant in the conflict known to have Tomahawk missiles; Israel is not known to possess them.
- Planet Labs satellite imagery shows only two structures inside the estimated impact area were damaged: a clinic and an earth covered magazine or bunker.
- Researchers Giancarlo Fiorella and Merel Zoet contributed to Bellingcat’s analysis.
